Living Rooms
Bear Corner Chalet is ready to entertain you, with an open plan main level so spacious, it features two separate living areas.
In living area one, enjoy the views as you sink into the soft leather sofa or chairs in front of the eye-catching, floor-to-ceiling stone electric fireplace. Bask in the sunshine slanting through the huge windows surrounding you. Fire up the flat-screen Roku TV and binge that series you’ve been meaning to see–you’re on vacation time, so indulge yourself!
The second living area doubles as a game room with a view. Play pool on the full-sized table here, or try out the shuffleboard table game. Another plush sofa invites you to settle in for movie marathons on a second flat-screen Roku TV. There’s even an additional electric fireplace, so no one is ever far from the ambiance. Enjoy playing your favorite songs on the Baldwin piano or play chess/checkers/cards on the game table for 2-4 players.
Kitchen
This convenient kitchen puts everything within easy reach with plenty of counter space to make meal prep simple. The fully equipped kitchen offers all the cookware, serving pieces, utensils, and gadgets you need to cook your favorite meals or prepare tasty picnics to take on mountain rambles. Pick up locally made hot sauces, jams, moonshines, and wines to bring back for a true taste of the Smokies!
Dining
Located between the two living areas, the dining area spotlights the old-fashioned dining table that seats 12 with ease. There is even a kids table with two chairs plus a highchair if needed. TV tables available and game table seats 2.
Bedrooms
With four bedrooms and three baths, Bear Corner Chalet is ideal for a family or a small group gathering.
Three comfortable queen bedrooms feature the cottage's signature wood ceilings and large windows. All bedrooms include flat-screen Roku TVs. One bathroom has a double sink, making it fast to get ready for days out, exploring Gatlinburg. The 4th bedroom is the perfect space for a fourth couple or for smaller travelers with 2 twin beds, 2 trundle beds plus a queen murphy bed.
Outdoor Spaces
The screened porch is open to refreshing breezes while keeping out bugs. You can hang out here, kick back on the patio furniture and feel like you’re in the great outdoors as you take in the view. A large table and chairs make the porch a good spot for lunch or board games.
There are more outdoor spaces, from the open upper decks with a view to a separate deck with a hot tub view, to the little red Swiss-chalet balcony on the upper level where you can see wildlife passing by to the lower open deck with a view. The grilling area has charcoal grill and a smoker grill with a picnic table for outdoor dining.

Getting To The Cabin
The drive to the cabin is a slow incline with 1 sharp 90 degree turn and a few curves. Once at the cabin, the driveway is flat with parking for 4 vehicles. Video of drive to the Bear Corner Chalet on you tube at cabins by joy.
Please note that winter is Nov - Feb and may require 4wheels drive due to winter weather occurring at any time. Please keep up with the weather so you know how to plan and pack for your stay with us.

Ober Mountain
Bear Corner Chalet is almost at the foot of Ober Mountain, the state’s only ski resort and a year-round amusement park. Come for skiing, snow tubing, and snowboarding in winter, but don’t miss the rides, wild animal encounters and festivals the rest of the year!
Gatlinburg Scenic Overlook
This stop along the Gatlinburg Bypass is worth a visit for the expansive views of the Smoky Mountains on every side. Take plenty of photos!
